CHILDREN & FAMILIES

At Highfield Church we believe that our role is to partner with parents to nurture children's faith. All the evidence suggests that childhood is the biggest window of opportunity we get. The Barna Research Institute in 2000 suggested that children up to the age of 13 are 5 times more likely to come to faith than adults. We want to make the most of this window, supporting parents to lay foundations to build a faith which will last a lifetime.

Our children’s work is Highfield Kids - an umbrella that takes us from a Sunday in age related groups, to all age worship services, to Tiddlywinks and other outreach activities.

The vision for Highfield Kids runs through all we do - we want children to Meet Jesus, Know Jesus, Serve and Share Jesus.

It's not just about Sundays but more importantly how faith is supported the other 6 days! At Highfield this partnership is lived out in various ways - register your child to get involved here.

HIGHFIELD KIDS

Our children's groups meet every Sunday morning during the 10.30am service in term time:

   Gems: 2-3 years old
Pebbles: 4-5 years old (includes school year R)
   Ground Breakers: school years 1&2
   Rock Solid: school years 3&4
   Cornerstones: school years 5&6

HOLIDAY CLUB

This annual event often runs during May half term. All children in school years R to 6 are welcome. We meet in teams to find out more about Jesus in a fun and relevant way, then gather together for songs, games and other activities. Previous club themes have included: Guardians of Ancora, Heroes Academy and Team Builders.

We often finish the week with a celebratory service on the Sunday when all the young people and their families are invited and encouraged to attend.

TIDDLYWINKS

A friendly and welcoming place for children to play and make new friends! We want to welcome everyone, whatever their age, relationship to the child, culture, religious background, ethnicity, gender or disability.

Friday 10-11.15am in term time in Church
