Easter Party Team
We are throwing an Easter Party on Saturday 30 March and are searching for team to support this. Below is a list of roles needed for the event to run smoothly. Please think and pray about whether you can support in any of these ways. If you would like to volunteer please contact Hemi Crane at children@highfield.church
Set up team - lots
Set up will be on the Friday afternoon. Arrive at 4pm to help:
- clear away chairs in the church building
- set up the café area with tables and chairs in the lounge
- set up the craft tables in the hall
- prepare the reflective prayer space in the hall
Inflatables team - minimum 4
Arrive at 10.30am. Your role will be to monitor the bouncy castle and bungee run:
- making sure everyone is using them safely and following the risk assessment
- the queueing is orderly
- max capacity is not breached
Craft team - minimum 3
Arrive at 10.30am. Your role will be to:
- facilitate the crafts
- chat to people engaged in the crafts
- help people with the crafts
- put away crafts
Face painting team - minimum 2
Arrive at 10.30am. Your role will be to:
- paint faces as requested by the attendees
- chat to the people as they get their faces painted
Café team - minimum 5
Arrive at 10.00am to do some final bits of set up. There will be 2 different roles within this team and the requirements are as follows:
- 2 team to mingle, chat and collect dirty dishes
- 3 team in the kitchen to serve drinks and hot cross buns and to do the washing up
- clean up the kitchen
IF YOU HAVE A VALID FOOD HYGIENE LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE THIS WOULD BE A GREAT TEAM TO JOIN AS ONE PERSON WILL NEED TO BE PROPERLY CERTIFIED.
Prayer team - minimum 2
Arrive at 10.30am. Your role will be to:
- pray with people as appropriate
- support the reflective prayer space
- help people access the activities
BBQ team - 3
Arrive at 10.30am. Your role will be to:
- set up marquee and BBQs
- cook food from 11.40am (one cooking veggie, one cooking meat, one serving)
IF YOU HAVE A VALID FOOD HYGIENE LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE THIS WOULD BE A GREAT TEAM TO JOIN AS ONE PERSON WILL NEED TO BE PROPERLY CERTIFIED.
Live music team - 3+
Throughout the event there will be 6 sets of live music. These will be a mixture of worship and secular music. If you would like to be a part of a band, please find a couple of people to play with you, and then contact Mike Shorey (hello@ythchrch.co.uk). Once arranged you will need to arrive 10 minutes before your set to set up your instruments.
Pack down team - lots
Arrive at 3pm for briefing. Your role will be to:
- pack up the reflective prayer activities
- put away tables and chairs
- set out chairs in church to max capacity ready for Easter Sunday
All these team numbers are minimum requirements. If there are more people available and willing to serve, we can do shifts rather than having to work the whole 4 hours. Thus, if you don't feel you could commit to all 4 hours, could you commit to 2 hours and support as a shift worker?
