We are a thriving evangelical and charismatic Anglican Church. We’re passionate about encountering God, growing together and seeking the kingdom. In terms of Highfield YTH, our overall vision is expressed as reaching young people across Southampton, raising them up as followers of Jesus and releasing them as influencers of culture. Following our growth and innovation over recent years in YTH CHRCH and Youth Fest, we have been invited to be a pilot church for New Wine’s Youth Minster scheme.
As our Youth Ministry Assistant you will have an essential role in supporting the Head of YTH and Southampton’s Youth Minster in this vision by supporting essential digital projects and communications e.g creating content for our social media channels and website, writing copy for event publicity, video editing and event administration. Your support with projects will be timely and valuable.
You’ll need to demonstrate the following:
- Creativity in design
- Good written communication
- Experience of creating digital resources and social media content
- Accuracy and an eye for detail
- Being comfortable both in a team and working on your own
- Able to prioritise, be organised and efficient
We’re offering a salary of £12.00 per hour, as well as a 9% contributory pension scheme, great holiday allowance and relevant training and development opportunities. This role is offered on a fixed term 5 month (maternity cover) contract basis and is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are open to some hours being worked from home, and some on site. We are also open to supporting flexible working and different work patterns. Please indicate your availability within the additional information section of the application form.
