Suspension of Public Worship

I'm sure you've heard, seen or read on the news that the Archbishops have taken the difficult step of postponing public services of worship for the time being. While I know that this will be a shock and a real disappointment to many of us, I feel strongly we need to respect the thought and prayer that went into the decision and abide by it. Given this, I regret to tell you that all public services of worship are suspended as from Wednesday 18th March. As soon as the government and Church of England guidance allows, we will resume holding public acts of worship.

I'll share more details over the next 24 hours about how we're going to sustain worship through live streaming and keeping the church building open for prayer, and also about our plans to care pastorally for one another and our neighbours at a time of isolation and anxiety.

Please be assured of my prayers as we seek to follow Jesus together through this difficult time. He is, as Hebrews 13: 8 reminds us, the same yesterday and today and forevermore. Let us fix our eyes on Him and trust the Good Shepherd to lead us through.

Every blessing,

Mike
