26 September marks the return of new students in Southampton, and the start of freshers week. As a church we want to provide true hospitality, and welcome students really well as they either return to campus, or start their 3 years here.

We are therefore hosting free welcome meals at the church centre 5:30-6:30pm each Sunday starting on 26 September and running throughout October. If you're a student reading this, come along, and bring your friends. And if you're not a student, fear not there's some exciting opportunities for you too, whatever your age: 

Pack down + Washing Up - Jesus washed his disciples feet, and whilst I'm not asking you to wash student feet, washing up their plates is the next best thing! We'd love volunteers to help clear up from 6pm. Please contact students@highfield.church if you can help on any of the weeks coming up. 

Prayer Support - There will be a prayer meeting in the upper room of the church centre 5:30pm-6:30pm to pray for the students here in the building as they share food, and those across the city. It would be wonderful to see the whole church get behind students in this way, and if you can't make it to the centre, do consider holding them in your prayers over the coming weeks.
