Highfield Church needs two new Foundation Governors for Highfield School

We're looking for some people to volunteer as Foundation governors of Highfield School. Being a governor is a great way of giving to our community, outside of the church directly. We have a strong relationship with the school. Alan Hunt is our Chair and Sarah Archer is the ex officio governor (the one from the Diocese), and we work very well with the Head and Deputy, to enable safe oversight of the school. The Governing Board has a mixture of Parent, Council and Foundation governors - Foundation simply means we come from the Church. The Governing Board is required to have more Foundation governors than the other categories, so as to ensure the Christian ethos of the School is adhered to. With all this in mind, we are needing to appoint two more to our number - ideally at least one of them needs to have children of primary school age.

If you think this is something you might be being called to do, to serve God actively in the community of Highfield, please do get in touch with either Alan Hunt, who is the Chair of Governors at a.hunt@highfieldschool.co.uk or Sarah Archer at associatevicar@highfield.church.
