YTH Church Rooted is brand new this term, it’s a space for us to slow down, open up the Bible and go deeper together.

While our normal YTH Church gatherings create space for worship, teaching and community, Rooted gives us an opportunity to spend more time wrestling with Scripture on our own and as a group, asking questions and exploring what it really means to build our lives around Jesus.

We want young people to have a faith that isn't simply based on what someone else has told them, but one that is rooted in God's Word and shaped by a growing relationship with Christ. Rooted is about creating the space to ask the difficult questions, discover more of who God is and learn how to live out our faith.

In Rooted we want to be able to help create a culture of reading our Bible more than just in church. We have adapted the Swedish method slightly and this is what we are going to use to shape how we read the Bible, hoping that this will also help them read it at home. 

1. ? Lightbulb — What stands out?
   What catches your attention in the passage? This could be a word, phrase, idea or something you hadn't noticed before.

2. ❓ Question Mark — What don't I understand?
   What questions does the passage raise for you? Is there anything confusing, difficult or that you want to understand better?

3. ➡️ Arrow — What does this mean for me?
   What is God saying to you through this passage? Is there something you need to believe, change, do or respond to?

4. ? This Week — How will I live this out?
   What is one practical way you can put what you've read into practice this week? Think about a specific situation, person or action rather than just a general intention.
