What is Wonder Zone?

Wonder Zone is a Bible-based holiday club created by Scripture Union in partnership with The Faraday Institute. Each day we will encounter complementary aspects of scientific study and the Bible. Through these, we'll see how science and faith can go hand in hand to help us explore the wonder of the world we live in and explore the wonder of God. This is the God who, while being the Creator of everything good that exists, wants us to know Him personally, believe in Him and put our Trust in him.

When and where is Wonder Zone?

Wonder Zone will be running on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 September 2025, from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The club will be at Highfield Church in the Church Centre.

Who is Wonder Zone for?

If your child is starting Year 1 through to Year 6 in September 2025, they are welcome to join us at Holiday Club.

We have chosen not to take children starting Year R in September because of the length of the Holiday Club days. These are essentially full school days and as children starting Year R have not yet completed any full school days we felt they would struggle to adjust to the club structure.

We want Wonder Zone to be accessible to everyone, no matter their financial situation. Therefore, it is free to attend, and a hot lunch will be provided for the children (please give any dietary and allergy information in the registration form).

What will a day look like?

Each day we will explore two themes; one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with a break for lunch in the middle. There will be a mixture of all-together up front time and small-group activities.

In the all-together up front times we will be joining in sung worship and Bible teaching. The small-group activities will be done in age-groups, similar to Highfield Kids groups which run on Sunday mornings throughout the year. These times will involve crafting, games, experiments and age-appropriate Bible study time, allowing children and leaders to build meaningful relationships with each other and with God.
