YTH Weekend Away
We have been incredibly blessed by the number of people who have offered to come help prepare food for the YTH Weekend Away on 8 March so thank you to everyone who is coming or is on standby just in case!

We are now looking for people for the weekend itself (29 - 30 March) to help prepare and serve each of the three main meals, and a sandwich lunch on the Saturday. We are looking for a few people to come up for each day, which will make a huge difference. The venue is about an hour away, near Wokingham, so is commutable! The jobs will be simple preparation, so extensive skills are not needed. We are currently looking for 2-3 people for the Saturday (29 March) to car share from the Church to arrive at 10am and leave at 7pm. We are also looking for 2-3 people to come up on the Sunday 10am-2pm including someone who would be willing to drive. Satellites
Are you, or anyone you know, free 6 - 10 August? Pete and Caroline need people to help at Satellites, picking up tasks that allow the other leaders to be with the young people. You will need to be prepared to camp, with much prayer for dry weather! Initially we were catering for about 20 young people and team - now we have the great problem of lots more young people and the need for a bigger team. This sounds like hard work - and it is - but it’s so rewarding, spending time with the young people and the team.

Pete and Caroline cook for around 50 people on a (very large) camp stove. They shop every day, prepare a sandwich lunch, and a hot evening meal. Sometimes they cook breakfast, but often it’s cereal and tea! They make sure there is hot water for washing up (a never ending task!).

So what do Pete and Caroline need? Help at a cooking day in July! They have enough space to take two frozen meals with them.

We’re praying ideally for two people who could commit to the whole camp, to share the jobs and the fun! People who were able to come and camp, and share the role would be amazing.

However, we know this is a big ask, so if people were able to offer a day, and/or a frozen meal delivery, that would also be amazing. Satellites is at Shepton Mallet, about 90 minutes away. A whole day would be 12 until about 8, a meal delivery could be around lunchtime.

Our Youth team are looking for volunteers who can support YTH events by helping with food! The weekend away venue in March is self catered, so we need a team of people who can help Caroline Hutchings deliver amazing food to our young people. If you are available on Saturday 8 March 10am - 4pm (for some or all of the day), we would love you to help us prepare food so that we can load up the freezer with delicious meals to take with us! Caroline has done all the planning, so only basic kitchen skills are required.

We will also be looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen at the weekend itself, for which you will receive a shared room for the weekend. Further details on this will follow, as well as details about our other residentials later this year, which will also need a catering team! The dates of our upcoming residentials are:
